mickshave > Rain it might, but we both wear very expensive Gortex coats which are rain and windproof. Unfortunately they are no proof against the damp, thus here I am feeling a trifle uncomfortable.

mickshave > 1316 - on the way to Bargrennan - these Bothys are designed to provide shelter in bad weather. The visitors' book indicated that some intrepid hunters had stayed here in December, to shoot deer. And the day before our arrival, three Scotish larikins bemoaning the fact that already they were drinking the "bog water."

mickshave > 1206 - after Bargrennon, heading for a wild camp this side of Loch Trool, and then on to St John's Town of Dalry
